Tico houses are generally more simple, square affairs, which may have only one bathroom for several bedrooms, and it may be off the kitchen, and even divided into 2 rooms, one with a shower and sink, and another with a toilet. It may have hot water only in the shower, if at all, and several sinks and stoves around the kitchen. Colors may be a little brighter than you are used to, specially the pinks and blues, and the curtains may be lacy little things.
